Suomen Luonto, a Finnish nature magazine, described following interesting incident in its latest issue:
Turdus pilaris built his nest on top of a nestbox occupied by Parus caeruleus. Turdus' nestlings hatched earlier, and the male Parus started to feed them. Turdus parents did not chase away such a helping beak, and the female Parus was still on her eggs when Turdus youngs left the place. He-Parus was so badly mislead by Turdus rascalsĀ“ large open mouths, that he often forgot to bring lunch to his wife. Eventually the Parus pair left the place, leaving ten eggs unhatched.
