Guess which bird from my terrible photo? (2 Viewers)

Even I'm not sure about this one!

More of an ID - I'm not sure!!

Saw a lot of flocks of finches today, so could be a UK finch, but not sure about the beak!

It is unusually snowy in Birminham today.

Now I know the other one was a Siskin - I agree this one looks like on too :)

How did you go for snow today Rich?

Looked pretty this morning but ground too damp for it to stick properly - much to the annoyance of my 6 year old who had a carrot ready to build a snow man:-O

How about yourself Julie?

It's been many years since there has been so much snow in Birmingham - at least 5"!

No buses running, airport closed and a Snow Day at my school tomorrow, so a bonus days birding in the snow :)

Limited choice.....

....but this bird has been at Upton Warren for weeks and is always in this position!

Indeed - I love teal! They were particularly amusing today as the pool was half frozen!

What gave it away as a hooper?

Shortest day, overcast.........

....a terrible photo was bound to happen :)

Not a tit - not a Cettis. Although I did hear a number today. I can not wait until all the lovely warblers come back - they are some of my favourite birds. As is this one!
