Spent three hours at observatory at 2877m watching alpine choughs and patiently scanning all the snow fields for anything interesting. Then this stunning snowfinch flew in and sat on rail right in front of me. Wow!

Hi Alangr,

Pic du Midi is an excellent site for some potentially tricky spp - especially snowfinch and alpine accentor. I've also heard wallcreeper from there...
