Maldives Heron (1 Viewer)

I was asked recently about a small white Heron seen by friends in the Maldives. Not sure what the options are - Egret or Reef Heron?

I'll try to get hold of the pic (off facebook) in due course. Done that!

I am not an expert but the short relatively stubby yellow bill together with it's apparent tolerance of human environment makes me think cattle egret

It fits doesn't it? I can't find any definitive list of the birds of the Maldives, it's not a great birding destination, more the luxury market!
