Hi all

Was too far away from me to get any good photos with my compact zoom so sorry for the poor photos.

At first I thought it was a gull, but then noticed it's long neck.

It was solitary and I'd say a small seagull-size - flying really quickly and quite agile.

Any help appreciated thanks

Yes looks like a bird of the year with that white face patch.

Thanks Lou - I've only seen them on the ground (so to speak) so first time I've saw one in flight
