Redwings have been pouring past my house all day.

I estimate at least 5,000 so far.

Anyone else?

There were some at Red Rocks, Wirral early this morning but I didn't pick any up over West Kirby later this morning.

Plenty in Lyme Park, Cheshire around the house this afternoon.No bins to count them but trees were loaded.

About a dozen only, passing south over Holt, Norfolk, yesterday - a hint of things to come?

I had the first sizeable flocks on Thursday (14th) here in S.Derbyshire. No Fieldfares yet though.

Still waiting on the Lleyn Peninsula ~ North Wales, I've only seen Song Thrushes.

Had my first Redwing of this autumn/winter (on Lewis) this morning perched on back garden fencepost - only 3 feet from window!

Also had 3 song thrushes (hebridensis)

1 Blackbird (male juv)

1 Robin

1 Wren (hebridensis)

All seen in space of 5 minutes. (All taking advantage of any cover available - tad breezy here at mo.)

Usually see more divers (all three regular spp. i.e.Red, Black Throated and Great Northern) than passerines from my lounge window (I back on to a large loch.)
