What I call a birdie day !! (1 Viewer)

Have you noticed how you can do the same walk at the same time and one day you will see nothing - it's as though the birds all went on holiday?..then you can be out at the same time and have what I call a 'birdie day' (sorry, I know just me !)....birds and birdsong everywhere. Had one of those today, in a 45 minute walk I saw pair of Bullfinches, 3 jays, Buzzard and a Sparrowhawk, along with numerous tits and fincehs - and not just fleeting glimpses I had time to observe them all - wonderful.

Something in the air? Here was a birdie day yesterday, with several songbirds chirping.

Yep I agree

when i'm on the train to slough I always look out of the window to see if I can see some birds. Sometimes I see loads sometimes nothing and I get the same train everyday.

If it was reliable every day it just wouldn't be half the fun.
