Identification of bird in Nottingham allotment (1 Viewer)

I spotted this bird in my allotment in Nottingham, UK and wondered if anyone could help me identify it. It does not exactly fit the description of a grouse so I'm a bit perplexed.
 
I agree - Red Legged Partridge. You would be very unlikely to see a grouse - red or black - in a Nottingham allotment.
