House Sparrows (1 Viewer)

Like a lot of people I spend a fortune on 'specialist' feed, sunflower hearts, black sunflower, niger, peanuts, no mess seed etc etc etc. I saw, like a lot of people the drop in House Sparrow numbers a few years ago. I was getting one maybe two at a time. Then for a few days I threw a few slices of wetted stale bread out. Two three House Sparrows hmmm. Going through three or four sliced loaves a week at least now and seeing twenty and over House Sparrows now. The experts say there is no nutritional value in bread. What about the high fat content in shop bought bread? Thoughts?

Your "specialist" seed isn´t anything than a boring monotony common only in English speaking countries. And buying it for a fortune is simply st...d (not meant as offense!).

Referring the bread, sparrows love it but the salt in it isn´t healthy for them.

Didn't think about the salt content, looks like it will be homemade bread with no salt from now on. My idea of a fortune might be different to yours. Garden full of House Sparrows again this morning :)
