Cryptic Crossbird Clue (1 Viewer)

Damn you! Correct, a bit contrived:

B= Black Head (eg the start of black), plus 'Ed' and then 'Gull' means a cheat (other than a bird)

Okay so it was shite!

Or how about:

Neo-tropical insectivore is one of seven little guys - with six, sounds like a river in Spanish.

Yes Redwing and Fieldfare. Please explain how Avocets fits, I am intrigued, glad you liked them.

Here is a crossword clue, nothing to do with birds and not my own, but probably the best clue I have ever read:

Must've (5,7,3,3)

And for a birdy one...............................It's Ken C (7)

Well seemed to have stumped or bored you on those:

'it's Ken C' an anagram of neck and as it is an anagram it could be described as a wry neck

Must've = think outside the box (muse around TV) - such a clever clue, can't remember who compiled it
