Yes, juvenile Eastern Towhee, just starting to moult into adult plumage (the single orange feather on the flank!)

For an easier way to look it up, I'd recommend Sibley's North American Bird Guide (Chanticleer Press Inc, 2000)

In furtherance to Michael's suggestion, I am going to recommend Sibley's new pocket guide addition for Eastern US. It is one of the better I have seen and not nearly as cumbersome as his others.
