Rother Valley Country Park.
Used for water sports, walking, cycling and so on but one lake is reserved for birds and wildlife. The layby where you park overlooking the lake has a feding station visited by a huge range of small birds and the lake always has something of interest. Perfect for disabled and older birders who can't walk from the car. No hides but well worth popping in when in the area. The enterance is at SK468821 and the lay by for viewing is the first one you come to on the road at SK457822

Twelve Acre Woods
Park at the pub at SK402803 and follow the path from the small lake eastward for a delightful country walk beside a river with mixed woodland, farmland and grassland. Various paths can be taken and the woodlands are carpeted with bluebells in spring. BIrds range from Kingfisher, woodpeckers and tree Creepers to Bullfinches, Kestrels and Owls. Paradise 5 minutes from Sheffield and of course you can always enjoy a drink at the pub afterwards.

Catcliffe Flash

Another good spot if you are disabled or can't move away from the car - this is a small lake with a layby beside the B6067 at SK427882 - the water contains a wide range of ducks, geese and gulls - anything can turn up. And don't negelct the trees and scrubland on the other side of the road - great for Siskin, Redpolls, finches, Tits and others.

Just a few delights to enjoy
