We all know those cute little computer symbols called "emoticons," where
:) means a smile and :( is a frown. Well, how about some "ARSEICONS?"

Here goes:

{_!_} a swishy arse

(_o_) an arse that's been around

(_x_) kiss my arse

(_X_) leave my arse alone

(_zzz_) a tired arse

(_E=mc2_) a smart arse

(_$_) Money coming out of his arse

(_?_) Dumb Arse

You have just been e-mooned.

Oh yes, quite definitely.... at least she thinks she is ;):-O

Thank you Charles for offering
These crazy giveaways
That kept us busy proffering
Our thoughts and roundelays –
Of course the theme was standard,
To Zen-Rays it was bound
To your ad. needs we pandered
As we went round and round –
Some entries were aesthetic,
While some just left a post,
And those that waxed poetic
Were those that wrote the most.
I think I’m going to miss the fun
Of never being sure
If I would be the lucky one –
Or if I’d write some more.
But as it happens, to the end,
You’ve had to suffer me
And Delia too who did contend
My wish for Prime HD;
Who feefed my smileys right and left
And made me laugh each night
Her argument was always deft,
A positive delight.
So good luck if you're in the draw
Tomorrow is the day
Someone here will win the war,
With Primes they’ll walk away.
So thank-you all at Zen-Ray
I hope its worth your while:
For fourteen happy folk today
Will end it with a smile

Delia: These are my lucky smileys. Leave them alone . . . I'm thinking positive . . .I'm thinking positive . . .I'm thinking positive . . .positive . . . positive . . . positi . . .posssi . . . .possy . . . pozz-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-

Some lovely verse you had on your post Sal - you been working on that all day?

See... and I even left your smilies alone this time!

Thanks Zen-Ray ! Good luck !

.
Good Morning Zen Ray, Sunday 6th May, 7:40am here, and it's bl**dy freezing (first frost of the year), thick fog and 0*C (in the modern world! teehee - a positively balmy 32*F for you folk in the "old world" - dark ages?! teehee) |:p|

Jeez - who'd have thought all that guff would come in useful one day !!! ;)

That's all Folks!

This really is The End

Muchas Gracias Charles and Zen-Ray :t:

Chosun :gh:

Ok, FNG reporting in and signing up.

..can somebody get me up to speed?
Is this giveaway still going on?!

I've read the OP and it stated the ending was in March but people keep posting. Read/scanned back ~10 pages but no mention of another drawing, so what gives with all the posts??? TIA

Oh, there was a even laster chance!!! Curiouser and curiouser...

The Thing is one of my favorite comic book characters. Some of his memorable phrases:

"It's clobberin' time!"
"What a revoltin' development".
"Damn, Yancy Street Gang!".

There was also a movie called "The Thing". Several version of it over the years. The original was out when I was a child, it starred James Arness from "Gunsmoke" fame as "The Thing," not that you could recognize him.

They didn't have very good special effects in those days so when you finally get the see the creature, it's somewhat of a letdown.

My No Prize for the Worst Special Effects in a SF movie goes to "It Came From Outer Space," starring B-movie actor, Richard Carlson. The creature looked like it was soap suds shot through some type of flange with a spike it in. Really, really bad SF. One of those made for spoofing on Mystery Science Theater 3000.

Anyway, I'm going to miss posting on this thread after the contest is over, because it's the only thread where no one can fault you for going off topic!

Yay, thanks! Smileys all over the world are pretty thankful that this competition is at an end; they never knew where they'd be living next . . . . Er, no, not writing all day, busy cooking for my next Kruger trip! Prime HDs would so improve it! :-O.

Good luck D :t:
