Sx50 Image stabilizer when videoing (1 Viewer)

Hi all I have noticed when I go to the extreme zoom on my Sx50 to take stills with the stabilizer on it works and I can hold the image very well in the viewfinder. BUT when I turn the dial on top to video at the same zoom distance I find the image bobbing about all over the place!! Is there an additional stabilizer setting for video?

I haven't got an sx50 in front of me but the 40 and 60 should work the same. If you set IS ( Image Stabilising) in the main menu it is on for stills and video.
Neil.
