Neck-ringed Greylag at Martin Mere (1 Viewer)

Yesterday noticed a Greylag Goose with an orange neck ring "PXN" in the flock at Martin Mere with which the blue Lesser Snow Goose was associating. Anybody know what the origin of the Greylag would be?

I think some were neck ringed on Shetland a few years ago

It will be one of the birds ringed on Lake Windermere I would have thought.

Use the EURING or cr-birding websites to report it and you'll find out for sure

Or email Kane Brides. Pretty sure that three letters beginning with P are all marked on Windermere though. Different sequences elsewhere.

Reporting back.... affirm this was a Windermere collared bird. I notice Stephen's name appears against one sighting!
