The textures are great as Nick rightly points out, and she's a real cutie. Quite the perfect parents! You've really caught their character with this delightful family portrait.
Perhaps my all time favourite of yours Arthur (although the stonechat sketch sheet takes some beating) - I think here the focus of attention is brilliantly tailored - the drake's slightly nonchelont glance towards the real action, then the maternal scooping up of the young'uns by the gorgeous female - quite superb, really. Tugs at the heart strings (got anything to do with the fact that grandson's just gone home?).
Take a bow, and a double Islay for good measure.
Thankyou all.
At Cley yesterday the 6 spoonbills were in the air for about 10 to 15 mins.
before settling down again and the Bittern did his daily flight arround 1030 hrs.
Some sketches of the spoonies
Just a tad unfair posting that view and a B100DY PARASOL!!!! What the heck's that for, Arthur? Up here if we see that bright orangy thingy in the sky we phone the M.O.D.
But the young daw's a little beauty, mate. Just the ticket!
