I did have a thread a few Hundred pages down but as I hadnt produced much since my first thread ( whats this a pencil ) I decided begin another and hopefully I will contribute a little more. Not being a natural artist I was expecting to be rather rusty but It wasnt like starting all over again. A couple of splishy sploshy paintings done in last couple of weeks.

Good work, especially if you haven't done much painting lately. Characteristic poses and pleasing liveliness in both of these.

yes I agree practice practice practice is Essential if to capture the subject your drawing
Is to your likeing but concentration is paramount to if your mind drifts away from what
your doing your art work changes you do have to be focused in what you are doing i
found personally later in life harder to do even thou the subject i was drawing was
Totally my choice something i have not been able to conquer totally when sketching
Unsure if that Improves with practice perhaps for some not for others.

Arthur is right!

You've always had a very natural touch with watercolor, something I think that most people lack at least when they start. Keep at it. Even if there's little comment or encouragement here hopefully you yourself will be able to see how much you're improving and that will give you the impetus to keep working. Of course it's a whole lot easier when there is encouragement from elsewhere!!
