One guy sums it up - 3 months manslaughter drunk driver - 6 months for this guy.

I have the solution 25 years for the drunk driver who kills someone and 12 years for this guy. He should be thankful he doesn't live in America - not sure if still the case but - three strikes = life imprisonment even for 'trivial' crimes. I'm not suggesting this is trivial in my eye but obviously so in the eyes of the law.....
 
Sentances and attitudes to those convicted of such crimes are varied and in some cases a little warped.

I have a regular visitor to my local reserve (strangely predominately in the breeding season.......) who has convinctions for disturbing wildlife (photographing rare bird's nests / chicks) who was encouraged by conservation organisations to under nest surveys as part of his "rehabilitation". A bit like employing a paedo in a nursery.
