Unusually Early Spring Migration in Nova Scotia, Canada. (1 Viewer)

Two of us surveyed an area outside of Halifax, Nova Scotia, for last Saturday’s spring bird migration count, and we were pleased (and amazed) to tally 14 species of warbler. Such a high total so early in our spring is unprecedented, and was not the result of a weather-related fallout -- rather, the birds were all on territory. I have written an account of our adventures on my blog, illustrated with photos and videos.
