Manfrotto 128cr or Giottos VH6011 head? (1 Viewer)

New to birding and have just got my first scope, an Opticron ES80 ED.
I'm looking to purchase a head for my Giottos tripod which up to now has been used with a 3 way head for photography.
I've narrowed it down to either the Manfrotto 128cr or Giottos Vh6011.
The 128cr seems to be a popular choice but there doesn't seem to be a lot of users for the Giottos.
The Vh 6011 is lighter and I think a neater piece of kit, however the video pin? doesn't fit the opticron scope. Would that be a problem not to use it or will it be possible for the scope to move?

Does anybody out there use the VH 6011? If so your opinions and any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
