Hooded wheatear (nemesis bird) in KSA (1 Viewer)

Friday morning was one of those rare magical times when you target something and you get it.

I have been searching for hooded wheatear for months. There was allegedly a small isolated population near Riyadh. It likes desolate mountain ravines and that's where we went.

Not only did we bump into a pair but we got prolonged good views of 4 griffon vulture which my friend had gone there for - they were long thought to be in the area too but very rarely seen until we glimpsed them two weeks ago. We only saw 5 others species all together but we got the 2 we wanted.
