Wootton Art 2012 (2 Viewers)

Thanks folks.
Also - just a wee reminder to check out the listings for original art on 'a well-known internet auction site' - ending soon!

All of your trouts are just magnificent. I definately wouldn't mind one of those on my wall.

Fantastic too say the least but Id prefer them on a bed of rocket and a few new potatoes than on my wall. How affective does the burnt sick and wash look, its spot on to a peaty stream you get up north:t:

Yellow-browed warblers have been everywhere this autumn. I bumped into one last week and made this composition from the encounter. Like the wren upthread, this wee bird had an annoying but compelling habit of being there, then not being there in the blink of an eye (or a peedie blink, as Orcadians would say). I've used two birds to try and describe that lost/found encounter and to encourage the eye to move around the painting - flicking about . . . as the warbler was doing.

if this were the only picture you ever painted, you'd still go down as one of the greats. An inspiration indeed (and a way of working that I may sneakily try and emulate if I have another crack at my pendulous bosoms)

Another nod towards the yellow-browed connection last week - conte and watercolour,

soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good! I really need to look at leaves more, there are a lot more of those about here than YB warblers in any case.
