Really hard micro (1 Viewer)

Actually I've no idea whether it's really hard or not, but this is one of the two moths in my light trap from last night. About 5mm tip to tail, head-down posture, looks like it's wearing the old British army desert camouflage.

Anyone?

Variable smudge

Thanks Paul, and on looking around I can certainly see what you mean. Saying that, the shape, antennae, posture and palps (and lack of nearby oak) to me suggest something like an Argyresthiid. But I am a total noob and have little experience of either group

You can tell I didn't have much in my moth trap last night, can't you :)
