Waterthrush in Mexico (1 Viewer)

Hello everybody,

Just back from a trip in Mexico. In the first week I made a picture of a waterthrush in Coba (Yucatan).
My conclusion was Lousiana Waterthrush. But at home I ckecked the checklist of Yucatan and the Lousiana Waterthrush is a rarity in Yucatan.
So my question is: is this a Lousiana Waterhrush or a Northern Waterthush?
Personally I haven't seen any Waterthrush in my life before.
So maybe an American birder can help me out.

Thanks.

Hi Lennaert,

It's a Louisiana Waterthrush. The supercilium and flank colour are spot on.
Also, it's a much earlier migrant (from July) than Northern (from end of August).
It's not a rarity, it is just an "uncommon migrant"!
