Indian Snake ID (1 Viewer)

Barred Wobbler

Well-known member
Photographed two days ago in a flood balancing pond in Goa.

It was about 4 feet long. My attention was drawn to it by a pond heron that was staring threateningly at it and the snake was lifting its head about 6 inches and swaying in what looked like a threat posture to bluff the heron. It appeared to work, because the heron flew off after a couple of minutes
