P5000 SETTING'S for PHOTO of the MOON (1 Viewer)

The moon is out and I like to know what settings I need to use on my P5000 and scope to get a decent picture. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Jim, If you have a "spot metering" mode on your camera, use it. I also use an exposure compensation of minus one to minus one point three. Over exposure of the moon cannot be corrected but under exposure can be adjusted with any reasonable photo manipulation software. For some reason, I find that autofocus in "macro" mode seems to provide better results, providing you have precisely focused your scopes image on the camera's L.C.D. display. Just keep at it until you hit the sweet spot.
