British Dragonflies 2017

Two claims of Vagrant Emperor in the last week, one in Cornwall a few days ago and a possible (limited chance of error I would have thought?) Helvear, St Mary's, Scilly today.

Had my earliest Willow Warbler Saturday: is there a general something unusual going on?

I saw a link somewhere saying thousands of Vagrant Emperors were on the move in Africa.

I had a single Large Red Damselfly emerge yesterday (Sunday) late morning from my pond in east Kent. Thankfully I was able to photograph the whole emergence which can be viewed @ www.marcheathwildlifephotography.zenfolio.com. Click 'My Blog'.

very brief fly-by views of three hawker type dragonflies at ham wall / shapwick today. I assume all were hairy dragonflies. Blue tailed damsel about as well as a presumed teneral large red.
