What do Lakumono Lagoon, Mary Hopkin, a Dancing Acraea, “Man-Deisal”, Temma Harbour, and Wattled Lapwings have in common? Less than you might think, but more than is obvious. You can find out more on the Ghana Gambol, now appearing on my blog. This series, recounting the Maritimes Travel Club's recent Birding & Butterfly Tour of Ghana, begins, as one might expect, on Day One, which you can reach by going to:

Loving it, Blake.

I did Ghana last April and had many of the same obervations as you did. I also took a photo of the "Glo" shacks and a religiously named shop selling something totally non-religious.

Also jealous you got the black heron at Sakumono. We missed that one.

Latest Ghana Update

My latest blog entry presents our afternoon exploration of Ghana’s capital, Accra. This particular post is image-heavy and text-light. Birders be warned: only a few of the images are bird-related.
