I took a few photos of some birds I saw this morning at Lake Contrary, Saint Joseph, Missouri. Try your hand at identifing them.

I agree with Brendan's identifications, except for the largish pale shorebird shown sleeping in two of the shots. The overall pale coloration, "spangled" appearance to the upperparts, and large, plump feel compared to the Semipalmated Sandpiper next to it makes it look like a juvenile Sanderling to me...

There were a lot of little "peeps" foraging at the water's edge at Lake Contrary, Least, Semipalmated and Western Sandpipers.

1. Least or Western Sandpiper (forgot which one it was)/juvenile Sanderling
2. Black Tern
3. Western Sandpiper
4. Semipalmated Plover, Least Sandpiper and Sanderling
5. Least Tern (juvenile)
