Birding i Minnesota mid September (2 Viewers)

Hi,

I'm going to Minnesota for two weeks in mid September. I'm planning on going birdwatching on foot a couple of days, and was thinking that maybe someone in here would be able to give a couple of ideas where to go.
I've been looking a bit at the River Valley Birding Trail but have't been able to find any tips on which - if any - part of the trail is best during September.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks,

Christian

Minnesota is big. The whole thing? ;)

What are you interested in finding?

The archives of the mnbird mailing list may help, and there are seasonal species distribution maps and other info at www.moumn.org

Hi bkrownd,

Thanks for your answer.
I'm going to stay in St. Paul and plan on getting a car while I'm there.
More than specific species, I'm looking for a forest or wetland area - preferably a combination - that will provide a fair number of species and a couple of days worth of hiking.
