Monday August 08, 2005:
A COMMON NIGHTHAWK , several TURKEY VULTURES were seen over the Ugly Dwarf Meadow near the Essso gas station at Nanoose Bay.

Sunday August 07:
The Sunday bird walk went to Buttertubs Marsh. Twelve birders found the following forty species---

Hooded Merganser
Osprey
Bald Eagle
Merlin

One GREEN HERON, one GADWALL and one MERLIN, catching dragonflys, were seen at Buttertubs Marsh, Nanaimo in the evening.


Friday August 05:
A GREEN HERON was spotted at Buttertubs Marsh in Nanaimo

Thursday August 04:
Twenty three COMMON NIGHTHAWKS were sighted flying over downtown Nanaimo at about 7:30 pm.


Wednesday August 03:
Three MERLIN and one GREEN HERON were seen at Buttertubs Marsh in Nanaimo.

Yes we have some neat birds here. I am sure that you have some really neat birds in your part of the world. Seem's that there is always new birds to be found in other parts of the globe!
