A570IS adapter tube? (1 Viewer)

hello all,

I have a Canon A95 and adater tube,( as in pic attached link) was just wondering if this adapter tube's bayonet fitting which it uses to attach to A95 is the same size as the A570IS (if the A570IS has one ). Many thanks to anyone who may be able to answer my question.

David.

David,

The A570 IS does have a bayonet fitting, however it uses an LA-DC52G adapter which is also compatible only with the A590 IS.

The A95 uses an LA-DC52D adapter which is also compatible only with the A80.

That's the bad news, the good news is that the thread on both is 52mm, so any accessories that you own will fit the LA-DC52G as well as the LA-DC52D. Also a new adapter is only about $20.

Mike
