I just put up 4 tree swallow boxes that I built. The sparrows are a real problem but I have also found four dead swallows in two different boxes. Two of these had head damage. there were no nests in the boxes just the dead swallows. can anyone help? Thankyou, braddietz

What a shame! Most of my problems with nest boxes were from, squirrels, sparrows and flickers. I have no idea what would kill swallows.

Wow! With the head damage, I would have to assume another bird and possibly the sparrows. I'm so sorry.

BTW, a warm welcome to you from those of us on staff here at BirdForum ;)
