Good Finch Turnout. (1 Viewer)

:hi: Woke up to a wet windy cool crap sort of day, 6-30am. went to feed the tribe. The only bird to be greeted by was blackie, hiding under the hedge, looking really fed up with life. any way food put out, back in made a brew and sat by kitchen window, by this time having smelled the brew my wife joined me. Anyway thing's started to pick up after about 20min's and this is what followed.

2. Goldfinche's

1. Brambling.

1. Siskin.

8. Greenfinche's.

10. chaffinche's

2. Bullfinche's

These all came within half an hour. Mixed with the other garden bird's. I just wanted to post the finch feeding. Considering the weather we were both well chuffed.

I wish we got bullfinchs, chaffinchs, greenfinchs, hawfinchs, etc. over here!

So far this year, the finches I've seen are Pine Siskin (2), American goldfinches (dozen), Purple Finch (4, 3 males, 1 female), and House Finch (3).
