Where's that bird?
I'm new to birding and have the occasional exciting day, but today was spectacular.
Osprey, Black Backed Seagull, Indigo Bunting (A first), Black Vulture, Orchard Oriole (Another first), Tree Swallow, Cardinal, Eastern Wood Peewee, Brown Headed Cowbird, Double Crested Cormorant and a spectacular Great Crested Flycatcher. Oh, and a Fox.
Many of these birds landed in the same dead Pine tree, which is the tallest tree in the area and adjoins a vast, nearly impenetrable thicket. I felt like I was cheating, but I left and returned a couple of times. There were also birds I missed and I will unashamedly go back for more.
