Hi All,

Been through every book I have and no luck identifying these two...

Looked to be a pair...

One more orange-brown on the back than the other (pics taken in bright sunlight about 2 PM) which looked to be a lighter tan/gray. Distinct yellow throat, forked tail - overall length roughly 6 inches. Heads yellow-green...I can't recall seeing anything with this wing pattern before.

Birds were eating seeds on wild chicory plants on a dock down at the harbour on Malaspina Strait (part of Georgia Strait) - hope that's specific enough for location :)

Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Christine
