Greetings from Central Ohio! (1 Viewer)

Hello there and a warm welcome to you from those of us on staff here at BirdForum :t:

Nice shots.

Hello Moose,
And another welcome to the Birdforum. I really like this picture you took of the Downy Woodpeckers.

Thanks, Dave.

That's a baby male on top, and Mom on the bottom.

I'm "overrun" by Downy's right now, with a pair and two fledglings spending a great deal of time at my peanut feeder. Add another couple of Downies in the area, and I can count on seeing Downy activity any time I sneak a glance at the peanut feeder during the day (along with Nuthatches, Red-Bellied Woodpeckers, and Black-Capped Chickadees)!

The young have figured out (over the past two days) how to eat on their own, but I still see an occassional begging-and-feeding operation of their frazzled parents!
