I am looking at getting a scope and was wanting info. on these 2 scopes.
My last scope was a Leupold Wind River 15x45, and I found with so much
heat ripples during the day, I did not use it much, so sold it.

How do these Nikons compare, and also compare the Porro to Roof, in this
kind of scope?

Heat ripples exist in the world, not your scope, so they aren't going to go away by getting a new/different one (No adaptive optics are available in consumer terrestrial scopes :). You could use digital capture and image stacking to resolve fine details of objects that don't move, though I don't know anyone who does this.
