After much searching around for bits to start me off on digiscoping , i bit the bullet and have bought the FS16 KIT which will save me any more headaches!
I tried it out last week at Slimbridge and its superb for what I want it for.

Just a couple of questions. The Gentleman said he would recommend changing my eyepiece for my application as it will create vignetting , which I want to avoid obviously.

I'll be using the Opticron Gs 665 ga scope with eyepiece HR2 40931 and he is suggesting this eyepeice is too strong and I should change it to HR2 40930.

I'm trying to save a few pounds by not buying this eyepiece as I feel the kit is quite expensive,(bought with inheritance) , but will do if it's a nessessity.

What do you guys think? Thanks in advance , lee.

Hi Lee

This reply may come too late for you but in case there are others that are interested to know, please see the attached.

The images show the FS16 attached to a GS665 using the 40930 (21x) and 40931 (27x) eyepieces. Please ignore the poor focussing etc - these were taken very quickly simply to show the vignetting at 1x zoom on the camera.

Cheers, Pete
