beautifully clean work - and the emu has so many textures, I just want to touch it - but Rod Hull taught me not to.

Hmmm, very nice. The gull in particular really got my attention. I know my gulls (smaller ones anyway) a lot better than my Emus (not many in Yorkshire) and I love how well you've portrayed the subtle tones and flecks around the face. Excellent.

Thank you everybody! Some recent sketches done with a fountain pen filled with watercolor paint, it works brilliantly... check my blog for more sketches!

Matteo your work is just pure genius of line and expression....could never get enough of it....and then you know just how to compose even the most casual study into a stellar composition...Sigh.....

Great Kookaburra sketches, Matteo! Nice idea to use watercolor with a fountain pen. I've tried using watersoluble ink before, but not actual watercolor paint. Yet something else I need to try...:-O.

Beautifully designed sheet, packed with characterful and sensitively rendered studies. You're right; it does work brilliantly!
