Bird sighted in Essex - ID help required (1 Viewer)

Hello all,

Wondering if you could help at all.

Just spotted a bird in my garden in Upminster, Essex.

I tried all the bird ID sites but had no luck.

The bird had a bright orange beak with a light green body and light blue wings.

Roughly the size of a pigeon but slimmer.

The bird's tail was long and maybe forked and flowing.

Hopefully someone will be able to solve the mystery!

Ring necked Parakeet seems most likely to me.

Sounds like an escaped Parakeet of some kind. Any chance of a photo?

Cheers guys.

I don't have a photo as it was sitting on a branch and I only saw it when I disturbed it.

I checked Google images and yeah it was definitely a parakeet.

Parakeet,there's loads of them in upminster.Especially around parklands fishery,the ingrebourne and cranham marsh
