Think you are wrong ..the following was taken from Birdlife International

...Zosterops tephropleurus has apparently adapted successfully to the presence of rats but remains vulnerable on account of its tiny range

Think you might be refering to the "Robust White-eye" which is extinct ...the following again taken from Birdlife International

......Zosterops strenuus, for example, was formerly numerous in lowland forest, but disappeared soon after an invasion of rats following a shipwreck in 1918
