Hi Guys, Ive recently had a new fence put up at the bottom of the garden & am looking for a climbing plant of some sort which will be beneficial for garden birds, Im wanting It to cover the entire fence which Is about 10-12 feet long. Has anyone got any suggestions as to which plant will be best, I do have a Jasmine which climbs up the washing line post & Is slowly spreading to the fence. I was thinking about 1 or 2 climbers to establish themselves.. Any Ideas?

Sean..

Hard to beat Ivy (there are hundreds of varieties) for wildlife.

I rather like Hop too, but that dies back in winter, but maybe you can live with that.

As mentioned above Ivy is hard to beat, Honeysuckle with it's scented flowers will attract moths as well as providing berries for birds.
