Banana Tree Bird (1 Viewer)

We have banana trees in our yard in California, and a greenish-yellowish bird (that blends in with our banana tree) built a nest in our trees. Can any of you tell us what kind of bird this is? I've attached pictures of the bird and the nest.

Thanks!

Mary

Thanks!

After looking at the picture and checking out some info on the Hooded Oriole on other sites, I'm pretty sure you're correct. Thanks for your help!

Kind of penumbral shots, Mary, but I'll second Jason's opinion, because of the long down-curved bill (beak).

PS: Nice quote, Jason. We're setting a mood, I feel...
