Hi KGS,

Just wondering how you ruled out Eastern or Siberian Stonechat (not sure what form occurs there - Grimmett and Inskipp still refer to torquatus) for no. 4? Is it the pale throat and amount of white on the tail?

Andy,

I think maurus, indicus & przewalskii all occur in the region but I would agree with KGS that its a White-tailed due to a combination of colder and plainer upper parts, reduced supercilium, extent of white in tail. They also show a shorter pp., though iit's difficult to judge from this angle.
