Rawshooter not recognising raw files from Canon 40D

Hi,

I wonder if any one can help?

I edit raw files using Rawshooter, it recognises the raw files from my Canon 20D but not my 40D, despite having the same file ending of .CR2. any thoughts how to get around this?

I like rawshooter because its easy to use and output as jpegs

Failing that can anybody recomend a free download RAW converter. I manipulate jpegs in photoshop, but find its raw converter a right pain.

Cheers for any help.

Mark

Why not load DPP that you got with the camera?

I always convert with DPP which came free with your Camera. I prefer it as a converter to ACR RAW which I also have although after conversion I finish off in PS.

Dpp

Hi,

I don't have DPP as the camera was second-hand. Will look at piccasa.

Cheers for the replies,

Mark

Have you tried downloading DPP from

http://www.canon-europe.com/Support/...wnload&page=1#

Not sure if you can but it's worth a try.

From Canon-Europe you can only download the updates but from Japan you can get the complete program http://web.canon.jp/Imaging/sdl/data/dpp100-e.exe Then you may need to run the updater for your camera
