I'm a novice.....I got a little excited....in hindsight a thread in the Bird ID section would have been the better choice!! :-O

Oh well, one has to laugh at oneself!!

The knowledge on this forum never ceases to amaze me and generally, people are only too happy to assist us beginners.

Either there's a mass hallucination going on here or I'm going bonkers - I'm prepared to accept either or other hypotheses.

Its a male Northern Wheatear

My first thought was Wheatear and then read the other posts.
Next thought was "I got that wrong then" without bothering to look at the original photo again.
