Moral of the story - don't try to ID after drinking copious amounts of Staropramen. I still think it's a Robin on the other thread btwB

And I was trying to ID a photo without giving it the due attention it deserved :-C

I'm a novice.....I got a little excited....in hindsight a thread in the Bird ID section would have been the better choice!! :-O
Oh well, one has to laugh at oneself!!

You shouldn't - Wheatears are brilliant birds and I still always get excited about them especially one in breeding plumage

I'm trying to avoid going out for a bit of C2H5OH tonight - hard times, think yourself lucky
My first thought was Wheatear and then read the other posts.
Next thought was "I got that wrong then" without bothering to look at the original photo again.
