Hiya all,
does anyone know what the telephoto/zoom equivalent is to scopes? What I mean is, what lens(in mm) would you have to buy to get the same magnification level as a 32 magnification power scope?

Depending how precise you do the calculation its somewhere between 1400mm - 1600mm at 35mm equivilent or around 1000m assuming your digital camera has a 1.5/1.6 crop fractor.

Thats just to get x32 - dont forget if you are digiscoping you then probably have between x2 - and x4 on the camera giving you total magnification as x64 - x128.

In lens terms x128 would be over 5000mm!
