Just looked up the garden 10 big fat pigeons 4 Blackbirds 7 Sparrows, where the heck were they on birdwatch day?

It's always the same on BGBW. I have had all sorts in my tiny garden in Ashford recently (including a visit from a Woodcock) and I have had up to 20 Chaffinches most days. Where were they for BGBW.

Always the way...Some days I get all sorts, big numbers of sparrows, starlings, collard doves, few chaffinchs and blue tits, robins, crows.....And another day il struggle to get more than 2 collard doves

I have the same problem, they seem to know, don't they, come big bird watch & off they go.
