i know these birds winter in mid eastern africa. but does anyone know if they occur in the canaries(fuerteventura), as i cant seem to find anything online. cheers!

According to Clarke 2006 (Birds of the Atlantic Islands) there was one (unaccepted) record on Tenerife prior to 1893, but the latest SEO checklist indicates that there are still no formally accepted records for the Canaries:
PS. Can't you reattach the Great Snipe photo? Or do you mean that you've accidentally deleted the image completely?!
